 Community & Event Fundraisers

  • Coffee Morning or Bake Sale – Invite friends and neighbours for homemade cakes and drinks with donations going to Holbrook.

  • Dog Walk Fundraiser – Organise a sponsored dog walk in your local park and ask people to support you per mile.

  • Quiz Night / Pub Night – Host a quiz at a local venue and donate the entry fees.

  • Car Boot / Stall – Sell pre-loved items or homemade pet treats and donate the proceeds.

Creative & Personal Challenges

  • Sponsored Silence, Skip-a-thon or Fitness Challenge – Go alcohol-free, run 5k or take on 10,000 steps a day and gather sponsorship for your efforts.

  • Head Shave or Beard Grow – Get sponsored for a brave (or quirky) transformation!

  • Birthday Fundraiser – Instead of gifts, ask loved ones to donate in support of Holbrook’s animals.

School & Youth Ideas

  • Non-Uniform Day – Ask students to donate a small amount to wear casual clothes.

  • Animal Art or Talent Show – Charge an entry fee to participate and invite family members to donate when they come to watch.

  • Guess the Number of Dog Treats in a Jar – Simple, fun and perfect for classrooms or school receptions.

FUNDRAISING TOP TIPS

Set a fundraising target: Know what you’re aiming for e.g. £50 could buy a dog lead, £100 could help cover veterinary care or food for a week.

Plan what you’ll need: Think about costs (materials, venue hire etc.) and ask local businesses to support you with donations or sponsorship.

Share your fundraiser: Use social media, posters and word of mouth to let friends, family and colleagues know how they can support you.

Be safe & have fun: Make sure all fundraising activities follow local safety guidelines and are enjoyable for everyone involved.
