Volunteer With Us

Holbrook Animal Rescue is a kennel-free rescue run primarily by volunteers who care for dozens of dogs, cats, goats, horses, rabbits, chickens, and any other animals that need our help.

Volunteering with us is one of the best ways you can support our work and help us get even more animals ready for rehoming.

FAQ's

Do I need any specific skills to volunteer?

Holbrook is a kennel free rescue, boarding dogs with varying degrees of confidence towards people; Experience and confidence around dogs is therefore essential. Canine first aid or animal husbandry experience would also be beneficial.

How old do I need to be to volunteer with you?

Our insurance requires all of volunteers to be a minimum of 25 years old. Unfortunately that means we are unable to offer any work experience or Duke of Edinburgh placements.

Do you offer Corporate Volunteering Days?

Due to the levels of training and support required, we are unable to accommodate Corporate Volunteering days.

How do I apply to be a volunteer?

Please use the links below to read more about the types of volunteering roles at Holbrook Animal Rescue. If you are able to make a regular commitment, please complete an application form giving plenty of information about your availability and experience.

If your application is moved forward, we will invite you to a Health and Safety Induction. Please bring photo ID and clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
