Whisper

You wouldn’t know it to look at Whisper now, but he has endured a truly tragic past. Abandoned without food or water, he was rescued in such a weakened state that he had to be carried to safety. In the early days, Whisper was so fragile that his food had to be liquidised just so he could eat.

It took some time for us to realise that Whisper wasn’t quite like other horses—he has a unique character all his own. He’s a real personality, full of spirit and very vocal, especially when it comes to mealtime! His loud calls and demanding nature have become part of his charm here at the sanctuary.

Whisper’s journey from near starvation to thriving sanctuary resident is a powerful reminder of resilience and hope. He’s not just a survivor—he’s a cherished friend and a constant source of entertainment for everyone at Holbrook.
