Tonka

Tonka joined Holbrook in 2023, and she’s been making volunteers smile ever since. Previously surrendered by her owner who struggled with her extreme separation anxiety, Tonka has found her perfect place here—surrounded by people and other dogs, all day and all night.

She absolutely thrives in the busy, loving environment of the sanctuary. Tonka loves to follow volunteers around, keeping a close eye on everything, making sure no detail goes unnoticed. But her favourite moments are when you take a break—then she’s all about cuddles, ready to jump straight into your lap and soak up the attention.

Tonka’s social, affectionate nature has made her a true sanctuary sweetheart, reminding us how important companionship and understanding are for every dog.
