Sid
Sid is a true favourite among our volunteers and a shining example of resilience and love.
Found purely by chance at a veterinary clinic in Greece, Sid was facing euthanasia—very poorly and almost completely bald. But thanks to dedicated vet care and a lot of love, Sid’s life was saved and transformed. He lives with a condition called Leishmaniasis, which is incurable but manageable with ongoing medication.
Despite this, Sid’s spirit remains bright and unshaken.Sid’s calm, loving nature has made him an ambassador for kindness and compassion. He regularly visits senior living facilities and schools in Horsham, where his gentle presence and sweet temperament leave a lasting impression on everyone he meets.
At Holbrook, Sid isn’t just a rescue—he’s a mascot, a therapy dog, and a daily reminder that even the smallest souls can make the biggest difference.
