Sammy
Sammy is a beautiful Arab horse with a graceful presence and a gentle soul. Bred to race, she was found to be “not good enough” for the track—a judgment that sadly set her on a difficult path. Passed from home to home, Sammy was rehomed multiple times, never quite finding the stability and care she needed.
Eventually, her journey led her to Holbrook—and this time, it was for good.
Now a cherished member of our sanctuary family, Sammy spends her days peacefully grazing in the fields, surrounded by friends who love and understand her. There’s no pressure here, no expectations—just safety, kindness, and the quiet dignity of being accepted exactly as she is.
Sammy’s story is a reminder that every horse deserves a second chance, and that value isn’t measured in performance, but in personality, presence, and the ability to simply be.
