Cilla & Lu Lu

Cilla and Lu Lu had a heartbreaking start to life. Rescued by our kind friends at Lotus Lamb and Sheep Rescue, they arrived at Holbrook in 2024 to begin a new chapter—one filled with safety, care, and the freedom to simply be sheep.

It was clear from the beginning that both girls had experienced mistreatment. Fearful and wary of human contact, they kept their distance and remained on high alert. But slowly, with time, patience, and gentle consistency, we’ve seen the most beautiful transformation begin to unfold.

Though still shy around new faces, Cilla and Lu Lu are becoming noticeably more relaxed and curious. They're learning that people can be kind, and that this home truly is a safe place. Seeing them start to trust, even in small ways, is incredibly rewarding.

These two are inseparable—the very best of friends. Whether grazing in the sunshine or resting in the shade, they are always side by side, drawing comfort and confidence from each other. Their bond is unbreakable and a powerful reminder of the healing strength of friendship.
