Boris

Boris arrived in 2024 with two of his friends, Belinda and Doris. 

Unfortunatley, they had spent their entire lives in a concrete kennel in Romania. 

Older dogs like these are often over-looked and Holbrook knew they had to do what they could to help them see out their senior years with love and comfort. They were already at least 12 years old at this point, so we knew even the travel arrangements could be a challenge.

They arrived timid and nervous of people. They would need plenty of time to decompress from the journey and their previous limited life. They're given their own private garden and bedroom at Holbrook, so they can have their space to potter around at a slower pace from the other dogs. They get to feel grass under their paws for the first time. Delicious meals, comfortable space and plenty of love from all the volunteers.

We know we wont have them for a long time, but it gives us an enormous sense of pride to know that we have saved them from a life of loniless.

Sadly, Belinda passed away in December 2024 but she was surrounded by love and we'll miss her dearly.
