Blossom

Blossom came to Holbrook after spending her early years living on a housing estate. Although her former owners cared deeply for her, circumstances changed and they were no longer able to keep her. We were honoured to welcome Blossom into our sanctuary, where she’s now thriving and very much part of the family.

Blossom has a condition called Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS), which is similar to diabetes. She takes daily medication to help manage it, and we carefully monitor her diet to keep her healthy and happy. Despite her health needs, Blossom is full of life—and more than a little spoiled!

She’s a true sanctuary favourite, adored by volunteers who happily spend time grooming her (from her very own brush box, of course) and sometimes even serenading her with songs. Blossom absolutely loves the attention and knows how to soak up every minute of it.

But don’t be fooled by her gentle looks—Blossom has a cheeky side too! Try convincing her to come in for the night when she’s happily munching away on grass… she’ll make sure you know who's in charge.

With her big personality, sweet nature, and a little bit of sass, Blossom is a joy to care for and a perfect example of what sanctuary life is all about: second chances, daily love, and space to simply be herself.
