Personality - Archie is a lovely little dog who has quickly stolen the hearts of our volunteers! He absolutely adores people and gets on great with all of the dogs at Holbrook. He is very good in the car and has been around cats and shown no interest in them whatsoever. His lead work is ongoing but he's a clever little chap who is sure to pick this up quickly.

Suitable Home:
- A fun, active home who has plenty of time for him
- A compatible companion dog of a similar age
- He is loving the outdoor space at Holbrook so a secure garden of his own is a must
- Plenty of walks off lead as you bond with Archie
- Archie has been around cats and is unbothered by them
- An Owner with experience and who has the time to continue with his training
- Children need to be over the age of 12

Archie likes - affection in abundance from any human available, being around the other dogs, tearing around our outdoor space and getting the puppies to play with him.

Personality - Loki is quite shy initially but soon relaxes to become a very cuddly and loving dog. He is very good with people in all situations but has not been cat tested.

Suitable Home - Loki is searching for a home with a confident, companion dog and an owner that is at home the majority of the time as he is still working through his slight problem with separation anxiety. His owner should have experience with young dogs and be prepared to continue his training. He is very energetic and will need a large garden and two substantial walks each day.

Additional Information - Loki has a temporary chemical neuter process in place and will need to be neutered when appropriate.

Personality - Hera is a lovely dog full of life and fun and she has quickly become a favourite amongst our volunteers at Holbrook as she is so loving towards people. She does sometimes find the mix of dogs at Holbrook overwhelming but she loves coming on the walk and is making the most of her new found freedom. Hera is also a clever young dog who would thrive on any form of training and be a loyal companion in the right home.

Suitable Home:
- A rural home with plenty of outdoor space for her to charge around in
- An Owner who has experience is essential
- Her new Owner will need to be at home the majority of time
- She would like to be homed with a bigger male dog
- She will require lots of regular walks
- Ongoing training will be required with her on/off lead walking
- Hera cannot be homed with cats as she will chase them
- Children need to be over the age of 12 years old

Personality - Hope is very affectionate and loyal and really loves to be around people. She is getting used to having lots of dogs around but can still be a little overwhelmed. She absolutely loves people and is already a dog so many of our volunteers are fond of.

Suitable Home - Hope is searching for a home with someone with experience and who has plenty of time to devote to her. She has been rescued from an unpleasant life and had been neglected so she will require steady and consistent exercise to enable her to lose a good deal of weight. We would like to see her in a rural environment with a large garden and she will possibly benefit from a male companion dog.

Additional Information- Hope has now been neutered and a vaccination programme is in place.

Tom - Based in Horsham, West Sussex

Personality - Tom arrived at Holbrook with his siblings Wanda and Hank, and he is the more nervous of the trio. Tom seeks comfort in the company of the other dogs but he is quite wary of people initially. Once bonded however Tom has been quite willing in letting some of our volunteers stroke him and even put a lead on him in preparation for practicing lead walking. He enjoys playing with his brother Hank and Tarn.

Suitable Home:
- An Owner experienced with nervous dogs
- Someone who has the time & patience to teach this pup plenty about the world
- A confident companion dog of a similar age
- A quiet environment with a secure garden
- Plenty of walks as he grows & gentle introduction to new environments
- Tom has not been tested around cats
- Children need to be over the age of 12 years old

Tom likes - the company of the other dogs, playing with Hank and Tarn, gentle strokes from volunteers he has bonded with

Personality - Hank arrived at Holbrook with his two siblings - Wanda and Tom - and he definitely is the most confident of the trio! He thrives in the company of the other dogs and whilst he can still be a little wary of new situations & people he does now joins us on the daily walk which he loves! His lead training is a work in progress. We are yet to test him off the lead but expect him to pick this up once he’s bonded to a person. Hank enjoys being around the volunteers once he gets to know you and he is patient around food. He plays beautifully with his brother Tom and Tarn but also understands interactions & warnings from other dogs.

Suitable Home:
- Experienced Owners
- Someone who has the time & patience to teach this pup plenty about the world
- A confident & playful companion dog of a similar age
- A big & secure garden as he loves to explore
- Plenty of walks as he grows & gentle introduction to new environments
- Hank has not been tested around cats
- Children need to be over the age of 12 years old

Hank likes - coming on the group walk, being around other dogs, playing with Tarn, having a cuddle on your lap once he gets to know you (although he is growing out of being a lap dog!)

Personality - Vixen is totally gentle and loving in the home and she is living with 2 dogs and a cat.
She is very loyal; has no guarding issues and no separation anxiety.

Suitable Home -Vixen is searching for a home with an experienced owner that has the time to give her ongoing training with lead walking; respect for boundaries and introduction to the outside world and how to behave correctly. She is very energetic and excitable and needs a lot of stimulation and exercise. She will need her new owners to be at home the majority of the time and access to a good sized garden.

Additional Information - Vixen will need to be neutered and the vaccination programme put in place.

Personality - Tarn is a very loyal, intelligent and affectionate puppy who we cannot believe is still with us! He has the most gorgeous nature, manners to die for around food and is proving to be quite the role model for some of our younger more nervous dogs. Tarn has an abundance of energy and loves to play with his ball or other dogs, but he also is capable of knowing when to switch off.

Suitable Home:
- A rural home with his own garden to enjoy
- Tarn is good around our horses so this type of home would suit him well
- A playful companion dog of a similar age
- An Owner who understands the importance of exercise & stimulation with this breed
- Lots of off lead adventures
- His new Owner will need to be at home the majority of the day
- His intelligent mind would thrive on any type of training
- Requires ongoing lead training
- Tarn has not been tested around cats yet
- Children need to be over the age of 12 years old

Tarn likes - balls (he can fit 3 in his mouth at once!), playing fetch, running off lead where he is very good at listening to commands, being amongst the other dogs, playing with the other dogs, teaching the puppies to be braver, going in the car.

Athena - Based in Horsham, West Sussex

Personality - Athena didn't have the best start to her life but she has come such a long way since her arrival at Holbrook. She has proven just how well she can bond with people after a little time and we see daily her fun, loyal and loving personality shine through. Athena is such a gentle soul that you can easily fall in love with but the thing that makes us smile the most is watching her have the ability to really run without a care in the world!

Suitable Home:
- A rural/farm type home with plenty of outdoor space that is also secure
- Athena is good around horses so this type of home would really suit her
- An Owner who has experience of nervous dogs
- A confident companion dog of a similar age in the home
- Her new Owner will need to be patient & understanding that Athena is still learning about the outside world
- Plenty of walks off lead for Athena which will need to be somewhere secure initially
- Her new Owner will need to be at home the majority of time
- Athena has previously lived with cats
- Children need to be over the age of 12 years old

Athena likes - affection in abundance once she gets to know you, running free amongst our field, being around the dogs at Holbrook (she never has a disagreement with any of them!), getting reassurance if it's a situation she is unsure of.

Charlie - Based in Horsham, West Sussex

Personality - Charlie is a very sweet dog who didn't have the best start in life and as a result it takes him a little while to trust people. That being said he has proven just how well a relationship with Charlie can blossom and with those he trusts we see a very playful, fun and loyal side of him! Charlie loves coming on the daily group walk where he is off lead, doesn't stray too far and is enjoying this new lease of life. He really has grown in confidence thanks to the kennel free environment he lives in which enables him to watch and learn from the other dogs.

Suitable Home:
- An Owner experienced with nervous dogs is required
- Someone who has the time to gradually teach Charlie about the outside world
- A quiet home with a large and secure garden
- A confident companion dog
- Plenty of off lead adventures once he trusts you and his recall with you has been perfected
- He has good manners on the lead too
- Charlie is good around our horses
- Charlie has not been tested around cats
- Children need to be over the age of 12

Charlie likes - belly rubs once he gets to know you, playing with toys, following his person like the loyal boy he is on his walks.
