Working to find loving homes for abandoned animals

Who we are

We are a family-run animal rescue charity based in Horsham, West Sussex.

Founded nearly 30 years ago, Holbrook Animal Rescue was set up to help abandoned and unwanted animals to find a safe place to call home. Unlike many other rescues, our dogs aren't kept in kennels. They sleep in the house and are free to run and play in our garden and fields.

Viewing is by appointment only.

We will need to relocate imminently to make way for a major new housing development. Build has already commenced for the 2,700-home development.

Please help us to rebuild our rescue.

Adopt a dog

We have some lovely dogs at Holbrook, looking for a loving home. Please ensure you read their profiles carefully before applying.

Note that all viewings are by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out the application form and one of our rehoming volunteers will be in touch.

Please avoid phoning regarding adoptions unless there is an emergency.

Dog of the month

Meet Chilli

Age - 2 years old

Male - Neutered

Mixed breed

Chilli is extremely loving, friendly and full of energy. She is an outdoorsy and very active dog that needs a lot of exercise. She thrives in the company of other dogs and she will need a compatible companion dog (lab size upwards) that can match her love of boisterous play fighting. Chilli is excellent in the car, does not exhibit separation anxiety and is a very happy young lady.

Can you give this amazing dog her forever home?

Sanctuary and Rehabilitation

Sanctuary animals are those that were considered ‘last chance’ this could be due to medical or behavioural issues that deemed them not fit for rehoming.

Rehabilitation dogs are those that we work with to restore their health or address behavioural issues through therapy and training, to teach them to trust again and to become the best that they can.
