Nellie
Age
8 years
Sex
Female
A couple of weeks ago Laura was contacted by another rescue asking for help with one of their dogs that was finding it hard to settle in her new home. After carrying out an assessment on Nellie who is believed to be approximately 8 years old we knew that she had no aggression, she was just very nervous and not ready to cope with life in a home environment. Knowing that Nellie would be at Holbrook for quite a long time Laura agreed to take her in to ensure she had a safe future and to start her rehabilitation. Nellie was given the time she needed to settle into Holbrook, we didn’t rush her to interact with us or with all the other dogs. Slowly but surely Nellie is now starting to feel at home and is venturing out more and more. Nellie is not available for adoption so no applications please, we will keep you updated on her progress.

Angel was nervous to begin with but soon began to settle and enjoy the freedom of Holbrook. She now approaches volunteers for a treat and stays in the mix of anything happening. We have began to slowly desensitize Angel to the lead, she is enjoying her 1-2-1 sessions which are clearly also helping to build her confidence.
