Dogs - Can be homed as an only dog or with a female companion.
Cats - Not cat tested
Children - No children

Dogs - Sidney gets on well with the other dogs at Holbrook but can sometimes be a little pushy, especially with the boys! Sidney loves people therefore he can be homed as an only dog into an experienced home or with a female,confident companion.

Cats - Sidney has shown signs of prey drive and will not be homed with a cat.

Children- Although Sidney is very affectionate and gentle he does worry in certain situations. He has previously lived in a home environment but became increasingly anxious around the young teenager therefore we recommend an adult only home.

Personality- Sidney is a very affectionate dog however he can become anxious at times and will need an experienced home. Sidney is a smart boy that has learnt all his basic commands in his previous home.

Suitable home - Sidney will need someone there much of the time to help him settle, he would like a relatively quiet home with a family that understand Sidney becomes worried when people visit, this is something that will need continued work along with general confidence building. He walks well on lead but is easily distracted, his new home will need to be committed to his continued training.

Sidney has lived happily in a home environment for a few months, his family worked hard to build Sidney’s confidence and teach him new things. He has learnt to walk nicely on lead and knows his basic commands. Due to lockdown it became increasingly difficult to socialise Sidney and he became more anxious as time went by. As lockdown began to ease Sidney struggled to cope with more changes and the very hard decision was made that Sidney should return to Holbrook.

Sidney has settled back in well at Holbrook, he enjoys the group walk and has made friends with all the volunteers.
