Personality – Jasper is a lively, friendly and loving dog. He treats everyone that he meets as a new friend. He loves cuddling up with you, especially in the evenings. He has good basic commands and is willing to learn others. He is a very intelligent dog that loves to please. He is very good on a lead and has learnt to sit when crossing a road. When he meets new dogs he behaves in a friendly and inquisitive manner. He has lived with two cats who he saw as potential friends and playmates but the feeling wasn’t reciprocated!!! His recall is very hit and miss so he hasn’t been allowed off the lead unless in a safe, secure environment. Although Jasper is a loving dog, he has started to become possessive over certain things and areas and this has led to some aggressive behaviour. Suitable home – Jasper needs a home that can continue with his training and teach him boundaries. He needs to understand that it is not acceptable behaviour to growl at people. He needs a young companion dog to play with and learn the ropes. He is a young lively dog that needs at least one hour twice a day and games and training inbetween. Although he has lived with cats, we don’t know how he would behave with other cats. If there are children in the family they must be dog savvy and over 12yrs old Additional Information – Jasper has lived with children but because of his possessiveness we believe it would be wrong to home him with young children.
