Honey

Honey – Age approx. 3
Dogs – To be homed with a playful male companion or can be homed as an only dog
Cats – Not cat tested
Children – Can be homed with older, dog respectful children

Dogs – Honey gets on with the majority of the dogs at Holbrook, she loves to run and to play with them but she favours the company of the males, therefore we feel that Honey can be homed with a confident, yet playful male companion dog or she can be homed as an only dog providing she has the opportunity to socialise with other dogs on a regular basis.

Cats – Honey has not been cat tested.

Children – Honey has a lovely gentle manner when interacting with people; but we do not know her history around children. We will consider homes with be older, dog respectful children and each application will be viewed individually.

Personality – Honey absolutely loves the company of people; she is extremely affectionate and loves some one-on-one time. Honey likes to be groomed and finds it quite relaxing, more human interaction for her to enjoy! Honey can be a little wary around feeding time and if homed with a companion dog it is advised that they are fed separately to allow Honey to eat her food in a worry-free environment. Honey has already joined the group walk. She walks ok on lead, but this will need further training in her new home. She shows no reaction to passing traffic or people and enjoys exploring when out. Although Honey has not been for a ride in a car she has happily jumped in and out a number of times so we don’t feel that short travel will be an issue for Honey, she has shown no signs of worry when being in the car.

Suitable home – As with all rescue dogs Honey will need someone home most of the time to help her settle. She walks quite well on lead however this will need continued training along with basic obedience therefore we will be looking for a home, with rescue experience that can commit to Honeys continued training. Honey is quite an energetic dog and would not suit a couple of short walks a day, she would suit a family that enjoys the outdoors and who will introduce her to lots of new experiences.

Additional Information
Honey already joins the group walk, she will need further lead training and recall training before she comes off lead. Honey can become worried around feeding time if she is with other dogs, this needs to be considered in her new home.
