Who We Are

We are a family-run charity based in Horsham, West Sussex.

Founded around 26 years ago, Holbrook Animal Rescue was set up to help abandoned dogs and cats. We take in many different types of animal from different backgrounds. Unlike many other rescues our dogs aren't kept in kennels. They sleep in the house and are free to run and play in our garden and fields.

Have a look at our new video to see some of the animals we're currently helping.

Sanctuary animals are those that were considered ‘last chance’ this could be due to medical or behavioural issues that deemed them not fit for rehoming.

Rehabilitation dogs are those that we work with to restore their health or address behavioural issues through therapy and training, to teach them to trust again and to become the best that they can.

Our Future

Watch our video and find more about our appeal

After 26 years rescuing and rehoming animals, Holbrook Animal Rescue charity is in danger of closure.

A new housing development of 2750 new homes are due to be built on and around the site of the rescue. If we cannot find a new home we may not be able to continue. We have therefore launched a local appeal to raise enough money to enable us to move and build a brand new facility which will benefit the local community
